On August 23rd, Keolis Belgium has joined forces with Open Tours Group (OTG) by acquiring 100% of shares of the four following companies: Open Tours, Modern Toerisme, Zuun Cars and Nice Travelling. By this acquisition, Keolis is expanding its activities in public transport as well as school and occasional transport. Furthermore, OTG’s airport activities are added (tarmac and pilot transport). Only city tours are not included in the deal.
The acquired businesses represent a revenue of about 17 milion euro, 380 employees and 180 vehicles. “Both companies will benefit from this fusion, as it results in many operational and client service optimizations”, says Marc Renouprez, International Director at Keolis Continental Europe.
OTG’s Managing Director, Alexander Dochy, will remain active in the company and is to play an advising role in the integration process and the transition towards the new management. His experience and business involvement, combined with Keolis’s strengths, will ensure the company responds better to the growing demand of quality services.
“Open Tours Group’s continuity, its staff’s wellbeing and customer satisfaction will be better guaranteed as a member of the Keolis family”, states Alexander Dochy.
“We are very proud that mister Dochy has faith in Keolis to continue the company’s success story and provide a new future by making use of Keolis’s strenghts. Just like at every takeover, Keolis aims to maintain OTG’s historical identity but also adds a ‘Keolis touch’ to it", explains Stefan De Prycker.
